Ahmedabad, the safest education hub and a preferred destination for higher studies to all teenagers.
India is changing. The mindsets of the people in our country are changing very fast. It's time for us to believe in One India. And I had the same feeling when after a gap of almost 5 years, I stepped into Ahmedabad last year and was surprised to see that the city has become more Cosmopolitan these days. To my greatest surprise, I found a substantial increase in the population coming from East, specially the Bengalis and Assameese teenagers flocking around the streets of Ahmedabad and the famous riverfront, which is considered to be one of the romantic destination of this beautiful clean and green city.
Since then, I have spent a lot of Saturday evenings and starry nights in this city, hiring Ola rental cabs, stopping infront of the riverfront, staring at the reflections of the illuminated buildings and the bridges in the Narmada and Sabarmati waterfront and was impressed to see the casual lifestyle of the people hanging around the places even at 3 am in the night and they are so safe and secured like the way we feel inside our home.
I had the most amazing experience during the last Durga Puja and Navratris. It was a big blow at the proud nose of a Bengali like me, when I discovered the exceptional festive glory of the city with the Garba dances happening in every nooks and corners of the societies althroughout the night and the participants are from all kinds of communities. Yes, I felt that this city has a belongingness and the city can take you close to its heart. Not only the Bengalis, but I have seen the Punjabis, Gujaratis combined with the population of East celebrating big budget Durga Pujas with equal importance and joy like what they show during the famous Kite festivals, Lohris, Pongals, Ganesh Chaturthi and Chhat festivals. As a Bengali, I have seen the festive beauty of Kolkata during the Pujas and Deewali nights. But festive Ahmedabad is just like a bride, shy with her looks, yet you feel that she is so amazingly beautiful and gorgeous when you look at her solemn beauty. One must have proper eyes to discover the magic of Ahmedabad.
There is a city like Ahmedabad, which is away from the hustle and bustle of the crowded metros, yet so vibrant with mankind. A city where you can cover 15 kilometres distance in just 30 minutes. Interestingly, Ahmedabad has two different looks. In one hand, the gorgeously built new Ahmedabad is like a Cat Woman taking a ramp walk with her mesmerizing and glamorous outlook. On the other hand, the heritage Ahmedabad with the historic mosques, palaces and old buildings reminds me of a old fashioned housewife lightening lamps infront of the deities. The old Ahmedabad is so very nostalgic and will take you back into those historical era with rain down the memory lane. A place called Manekchowk is famous for fast food and remains open for whole night.
With the presence of so many National level Institutes, Universities, B Schools, Engineering Colleges like IIM Ahmedabad, Nirma University, IIRMA, UWSB, NID, NIFT, UiD, Karnavati University, MICA, PDPU.... Ahmedabad is gradually turning out to be one of the hottest destination for higher education to the young ignited minds of India. Apart from the gorgeous shopping malls, clean end green surroundings, modern outlook, rich festive and cultural heritages, this city has an attraction of leading a trouble free casual lifestyle along with ideal education environment with lot of opportunities in Corporate world and Entrepreneurship world. This city never sleeps. After the evening office hours, I have seen students and professionals running fast food stalls near important malls and locations of the city which points out towards the enterprising mindset of the people. This reminds me of a famous quote written by someone - " Work while they sleep, learn while they party, Save while they spend and live like they dream.
Yes, Ahmedabad teaches you the perfect philosophy of a young dreamer. Undoubtedly one of the ideal destination and education hub for today's generation across the nation. A place where one can live with dreams and settle and then die with the memories.
With more than 30 reputed National level Institutes and Universities offering courses in Management, Engineering, Designing, Medical, Liberal Arts and Mass Communication, Law and many other higher educational programs, Ahmedabad is now the most targetted destination for the young minds because of its safe environment and also because of the demographic advantage of being West India's one of the most important business hub with lots of employment and business opportunities.
