২০১০ সাল ।  আমাদের কোম্পানি র কর্ণধারের নির্দেশে দু বছরের জন্য আমাকে হায়দ্রাবাদ যেতে হয়েছিল একটি ম্যানেজমেন্ট স্কুল প্রতিষ্ঠা করার জন্যে ।  কর্মসূত্রে হায়দেরাবাদ বহুবার গেছি  ।  এমনিতেই অত্যন্ত প্রিয় শহর হায়দেরাবাদ ।  তার ওপরে হায়দেরাবাদ এর অভিজাত এলাকা বানজারা হিলস এর সিটি সেন্টার এর উল্টোদিকের রাস্তা দিয়ে একটু ভেতরে ঢুকে এক বহুতল এর ১০ তলায় কোম্পানি র নতুন গেস্ট হাউস এ আমার থাকার বন্দ্যবস্ত হবার পরে যেন হাতের কাছে চাঁদ পেয়েছিলাম ।  গেস্ট হাউস তো নয়, একটি তিন কামরার প্রায় ১৪০০ স্কোয়ার ফিট এর বিশালাকার ফ্ল্যাট ।  বারান্দায় দাঁড়ালে হোটেল তাজ কৃষ্ণা র সুইমিং পুল টা পরিষ্কার দেখা যেত  ।  তখনও প্রজেক্ট এর অন্যান্য লোকেরা যোগদান করেনি  ।   তাই অতবড় ফ্ল্যাটে একা একা কয়েকটা দিন রাজার জামাই ফুচকাওয়ালা হয়ে বেশ সুখেই ছিলাম  ।  কিন্তু যত দিন যেতে লাগলো, সেই সুখ আমার মাথায় উঠলো  ।  সুখ পরিনত হলো দুস্বপ্নে  ।  আসুন বলি সেই কাহিনী  ।  সপ্তাহ খানেকের মাথায় অনুভব করলাম যে প্রতিদিন সন্ধেবেলায় খুব অদ্ভুত ভ...

১৯৯৫ সাল ।  সিমেন্স এ চাকরি সুত্রে পাটনা শহরের জনবহুল কংকরবাগ এলাকায় অনেক কাঠখর পুড়িয়ে সিংজি র বাড়ির দোতলায় গ্যারেজ বারান্দা সহ একটা ঘর, বাথরুম ও রান্নাঘর সমেত ভাড়া পেয়েছি ।  পেশায় উকিল সিংজি কে অনেক হাতেপায়ে ধরার পরে ঘর টা ভাড়া পেয়েছিলাম কারণ ব্যাচেলর দের সচরাচর কেউ ভাড়া দিতে চায় না ।  যাই হোক , রাত্রিবেলা রান্নাবান্না করে অনেক রাত অবধি আমার ঘরের লাগোয়া গ্যারেজ বারান্দায় বসে একটু রাতের হাওয়া খেতাম ।  চাঁদনী রাতে খোলা আকাশের নিচে গ্যারেজ বারান্দায় আরামকেদারায় বসে চাঁদ দেখতে দেখতে কখন যে ঘুমিয়ে পরতাম, খেয়াল থাকত না ।  সিংজি র বাড়ির ঠিক উল্টো দিকে একটা দোতলা বাড়ি ছিল, যে বাড়িটায় আমি কখনো কোনো লোক দেখিনি বা কখনো কোনো লোকের আনাগোনা দেখিনি ।  বাড়ির জানালা, দরজাও বেশির ভাগ সময় বন্ধ থাকত কেবল রাতের বেলা টুকু ছাড়া কারণ অনেক সময় রাত্রিবেলায় বাড়ির জানালায় বা কখনো কখনো বারান্দায় এক যুবতী কে একদৃষ্টিতে তাকিয়ে থাকতে দেখেছি ।  মাসখানেক ঠিক রাত বারোটা নাগাদ রোজ দেখতাম যে ওই যুবতী এক দৃষ্টিতে আমাদের বাড়ির দিকে তাকিয়ে আছে ।  প্রথম প্রথম ব্যাপারটায় অস্ব...
